Hackmamba is developers by instinct and marketers by craft. Original content is its motto.

## How Hackmamba got here

| Year | What happened |
| --- | --- |
| 2021 | [William U. Imoh](https://www.linkedin.com/in/william-imoh/) founded Hackmamba because technical content for devtools was bad, written by marketers who had never opened a terminal. He had spent years as a developer and developer advocate. Clients kept coming back, so he brought in developers who could write, and that became the team. |
| 2022 | Hackmamba became known as the agency for technical content developers trust, handling three documentation clients a month on average with strong retention. |
| 2023 to 2024 | Clients trusted Hackmamba with product launches, community programmes, hackathons, Reddit strategy and paid media. Many had been burned by generic SaaS agencies that did not understand developers. Hackmamba never pitched this work. |
| 2025 | Revenue grew 400% and six-month retention stayed above 70%. Inbound requests were for growth work as well as documentation. |

Go-to-market is the moat: reaching developers through the channels they use, building credibility with the communities that influence their decisions, and being visible wherever developers and their AI agents search. Hackmamba built the Developer Adoption Architecture (DAA) to make that process repeatable.

## The Developer Adoption Architecture

Across engagements, Hackmamba kept finding gaps in the developer journey that nobody owned. The DAA identifies and fixes them.

| Stage | Description |
| --- | --- |
| 1. Discover | Content earns attention when a developer starts looking for a solution. Qualified traffic begins here. |
| 2. Evaluate | Developers research on their own terms through peer reviews, documentation and technical depth before talking to your team. |
| 3. Integrate | Onboarding content shortens time to first value, reducing support tickets and speeding up trial-to-paid conversion. |
| 4. Advocate | Developers who trust the product recommend it in Slack threads, conference talks and community discussions. |
| 5. Compound | Each stage makes the next more efficient. The longer the system runs, the more effective it becomes. |

Hackmamba uses the DAA to find which funnel stage is stalling growth, then builds the service plan around that answer.

## Core beliefs

1. **AI is akin to electricity.** It is a force multiplier. Hackmamba uses it to move faster, raise its floor and create better work.
2. **Authenticity wins eventually.** People can tell when something is manufactured. Honest, specific marketing compounds over time.
3. **We consistently have to raise our floor.** Every project should push the quality of the work forward.
4. **We are storytellers.** Tools, channels and tactics change. The ability to tell a story that makes people care stays.
5. **Developers hate marketing that looks like poorly targeted sales.** Marketing that triggers a positive emotional response is always welcome. Ask Coca-Cola or Supabase.

## What clients say

- "Hackmamba helped us successfully launch VectorAI DB. They brought three critical things we needed: deep developer marketing expertise that informed our strategy and positioning, the ability to produce high-quality technical content and videos at scale, and the relationships to activate developers through hackathons and university partnerships. They didn't just execute a plan, they helped us build the right one. They became an extension of our team and accelerated our entry into the developer market." Jennifer Jackson, CMO, Actian
- "We've added tens of thousands of clicks and millions of impressions to our blog in the few months we've been working with them, and that number continues to grow." Kenny Rogers, DevRel Lead, OpenRouter
- "Working with Hackmamba has been great. The traffic growth speaks for itself, but what stood out was how deeply they understood our audience. They think like developers, and that made all the difference." Kamran Ahmed, Founder, Roadmap.sh
- "We could not have achieved what we achieved without Hackmamba. From the advisory role you played to the quality of the videos and technical content, to the hackathons and event support, your expertise was essential to every part of this launch." Nick Johnson, Senior Director of Product Marketing, Actian
- "Our documentation is now one of, if not the best, in our industry." Jamie Coleman, Senior Developer Advocate, GBG Loqate
- "They take complex topics and translate them into clear, engaging content that speaks directly to our audience." Lyndsie Berens, Head of Marketing, Doppler
- "The quality of our technical content program has improved greatly since working with Hackmamba. Because they are so dialed into the latest trends, they bring great ideas to every conversation." Kelvin Lynch, Director of Content Marketing, Cloudinary

## Creator community

Hackmamba has a network of 2,000+ creators: technical writers, video creators, developer advocates, specialist marketers and engineers. It tracks their expertise, technologies, audiences and past work to match the right person to each project.

More than 80 work with Hackmamba full-time or as long-term contractors, all under active NDAs, and work as an extension of the client team from day one. Creators have worked for OpenRouter, Cloudinary, ZenRows, Actian, CodeRabbit and Replit.

## A note from the founder

"We started Hackmamba with the belief that high-quality technical content is non-negotiable. This meant we had to be authentic against all odds, since we sell to a very sensitive audience. Today our bar is even higher, and we create faster within a growth context. I hope you place your bar even higher too, and maybe we get to partner someday. If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go with the right people." William Imoh, Founder and CEO, Hackmamba
