Role Overview

Hackmamba is seeking a talented and detail-oriented Technical Video Editor to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for editing technical video content, ensuring the highest quality production that resonates with mid-level to senior developers. Your work will involve refining video footage, enhancing audio and visuals, and incorporating motion graphics or animations to create polished and professional content.

Key Responsibilities

• Edit raw footage into compelling video content that aligns with Hackmamba’s brand and objectives. Types of content include:
  • Product walkthroughs and tutorials.
  • Explainer videos and technical deep dives.
  • Short-form videos for social media platforms.
• Ensure all videos meet Hackmamba’s standards for quality, including sound clarity, video resolution, and pacing.
• Add graphics, animations, transitions, and other visual effects to enhance the content’s engagement and clarity.
• Work closely with the Video Content Creator and content team to align edits with scripting, goals, and developer audience expectations.
• Optimize video files for multiple platforms, ensuring compatibility and quality across YouTube, LinkedIn, Twitter, and other channels.
• Incorporate feedback from the team and iterate on edits to deliver the final polished product.

Requirements

• Proven experience in video editing with a strong portfolio showcasing technical or educational content.
• Proficiency in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or similar tools.
• Familiarity with motion graphics software (e.g., Adobe After Effects) to create animations and transitions.
• Strong understanding of technical topics and ability to visually represent complex concepts.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
• Excellent time-management skills and the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.

Nice to Have

• Experience working on developer-focused or SaaS-related video content.
• Knowledge of SEO best practices for video content.
• Basic understanding of scripting or storyboarding for video production.
