Our story

How we got here

2021

William U. Imoh started Hackmamba because technical content for devtools was bad, written by marketers who had never opened a terminal. He had spent years as a developer and a developer advocate, and he knew what good looked like. Clients kept coming back for it, and eventually the work was too much for one person, so he brought in a few developers who could write. That became the team.

2022

Word got around, and we became known as the agency for technical content developers actually trust. We handled three documentation clients a month on average, with strong retention, and the market gave us a label: technical content agency.

2023–24

The same clients trusted us with more than content. Many of them had been burned by generic SaaS marketing agencies that did not understand developers, so they brought us product launches, community programmes, hackathons, Reddit strategy, and paid media. We never pitched any of it. They came because the trust was already there.

2025

Revenue grew 400% and six-month retention held above 70%. The inbound we received was for growth work, not just documentation.

That told us what founders need to know now: go-to-market is the moat. It is how you reach developers through the channels they already use, build credibility with the communities that influence their decisions, and make sure your product is visible wherever developers and their AI agents are searching. That is why we built the Developer Adoption Architecture (DAA): to make that process repeatable.

The framework

The developer adoption architecture

Across client engagements, we kept finding gaps in the developer journey that no one had explicitly owned. The DAA is designed to identify those gaps and fix them.

We use the DAA to find which stage of your funnel is stalling growth, then build your service plan around that answer.

What clients say

In their words

Hackmamba helped us successfully launch VectorAI DB. They brought three critical things we needed: deep developer marketing expertise that informed our strategy and positioning, the ability to produce high-quality technical content and videos at scale, and the relationships to activate developers through hackathons and university partnerships. They didn't just execute a plan, they helped us build the right one. They became an extension of our team and accelerated our entry into the developer market.

How we source creators

Our creator community

We have built a network of 2,000+ creators across technical writers, video creators, developer advocates, specialist marketers, and engineers. We track their expertise, the technologies they know, the audiences they reach, and the work they have produced, so we can bring in the right person for each project.

More than 80 of them work with us on a full-time or long-term contractor basis, all under active NDAs. They work as an extension of your team from day one, with the technical context needed to create credible work without a long onboarding period.

Depending on what you need, that could mean a technical writer creating in-depth articles and documentation, a video creator producing product demos and technical explainers, a developer advocate building relationships with developer communities, or a specialist developer marketer. We select the right creator based on your goals, audience, and technical requirements.

A note from our founder

A short note from me

We started Hackmamba with the belief that high-quality technical content is non-negotiable. This meant we had to be authentic against all odds, since we sell to a very sensitive audience. Today our bar is even higher, and we create faster within a growth context.

I hope you place your bar even higher too, and maybe we get to partner someday. If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go with the right people.
