Champion marketing for developer tools

A tech influencermarketing agency built around product Champions

We find developers who have a reason to care about your product, give them access, and help them use it, question it, and share their experience. Every paid partnership is disclosed, and each champion keeps control of their opinion.

Why influencer marketing model is broken

Most tech influencer campaigns pay people to promote products they would never use

  1. 01

The creator is not a potential user.

They can repeat the brief, but they cannot explain why a developer would choose the product or where it falls short.

  2. 02

    A script does the talking.

The audience notices when a post carries the brand’s language instead of the creator’s judgment.

  3. 03

Follower count hides weak category fit.

A large technical audience means little when few of those people work on the problem your product solves.

  4. 04

    Bots and fake engagement inflate
    the report.

Impressions look healthy while product usage, qualified signups, and useful feedback stay flat.

  5. 05

The relationship ends when the post
    goes live.

The creator moves to the next sponsor, leaving your team with a link and no lasting product advocate.

What makes a champion

A champion has a reason to care before a fee is offered

A champion would ordinarily be curious about the product, use it, ask hard questions, and recommend it only when it earns the recommendation.

  1. 01

    They know the problem

The product sits inside a category they use, build in, or follow closely.

  2. 02

    They use the product

They get access, documentation, credits, and time with the team before publishing anything.

  3. 03

    They give useful feedback

They tell the team what worked, what did not, and what their audience will question.

  4. 04

They speak in their own words

We check product facts and disclosure while the champion keeps control of their judgment and delivery.

  5. 05

They stay when the product earns it

They stay when the product earns it

The strongest champions keep using and recommending the product after the campaign has ended.

Influencer marketing services for developer tools

Three ways to put the product in the right hands

Hackmamba finds the people, manages access and agreements, pays commissioned work, and tracks what happens after publication.

02 · Early access programs

Get feedback before the wider market arrives.

We recruit developers who fit the use case, give them access, and run the feedback loop without requiring them to publish anything.

Build an early access group

03 · Always-on champion network

Keep the best relationships active.

We build a small group of active users who test releases, join launches, answer questions, and recommend the product when it is relevant.

Technical creators we work with

People who already understand the category

We work with developers across the channels where technical products are discovered and discussed. A database launch belongs with someone who can explain query performance, migration, and where the product fits.

How we work

We disclose every payment while champions retain control of their opinions

We manage the contract, product access, feedback, disclosure, payment, usage rights, and reporting.

01

Interest comes first

We approach people who could reasonably use the product and care about the problem.

02

Paid means disclosed

Each commercial relationship is visible and fits the rules of the channel.

03

We pay for the work

The champion's opinion remains theirs, including criticism and product limitations.

04

Fees and usage rights are agreed first

You see the creator fee. The contract states where the content can run, for how long, and whether the brand can reuse it.

A note from our founder

“I have marketed devtools for free for ten years”

I have recommended Sanity, Netlify, Supabase, Cloudflare, and Grok Bot for years, often without knowing anyone on those teams. I did it because I used the products and wanted them to win.

Mercury was the same. Before I became a customer, I wanted the company to succeed because it solved a problem few banks would touch: opening a US bank account for a foreign founder in minutes.

That is the relationship we want to create for our clients. We find people with a reason to care, put the product in their hands, and pay them fairly for commissioned work while they retain control of their opinion.

Our goal is to find the first one million technology champions.

What clients say

The relationship started with developers using the product

Hackmamba helped us build relationships with universities so students could try out VectorAI DB and give us early feedback on the product before launch.

Questions we get

Before we start

We work with developers who could reasonably use the product. They get product access before they publish, paid relationships are disclosed, and their opinion remains their own. We report clicks, signups, activation, and product feedback alongside reach.

Yes. We can assess the fit, contact the creator, negotiate the fee and usage rights, manage product access, review technical claims, and handle payment. If the creator is not a fit, we will explain why and suggest alternatives.

Yes. Each paid post uses a clear disclosure for the channel and the campaign. We do not run undisclosed sponsorships.

No. A creator can test the product and decide there is no useful story. If you need a set deliverable, we run a paid campaign with agreed terms and disclosure.

Pricing depends on the creators, channels, usage rights, and deliverables. The proposal separates creator fees from Hackmamba's management fee.
